School show fundraises for projects

On the 25, 26 and 27 January, St Bede's School hosted their first student led show since Covid-19, called 'Joseph'. Many pupils across different year groups opted to take part in this marvellous show and they all enjoyed every second of it.

Before show week, parents/carers of the performers and band for the show which also included many students plus other members of the school and outside of school friends were able to buy tickets for the show for just £6 each, with all of the proceeds going to the Year 12 trip to Tanzania which is taking place later on in the school year. Also, during the intervals, people were able to buy refreshments, which the Friends of St Bede's happily took part in to raise money for the school.

Even though people in their hundreds turned up to watch the shows on one of the three nights, everyone who came to watch thoroughly enjoyed every second of the show and all the songs that the performers sang.

Orla Ryan, one of the performers said: "The whole show was fun but it was nice to know that it mattered for more than just something other than me and I'm glad that the money will good."

All in all, St Bede's school first performance after lockdown has proved to be a massive and overwhelming success for the school, with Friday's show completely selling out, we all hope that there are many more performances to come our way in the near future.
